Learn the 4 Keys of Good Grief parenting
Be confident that you are helping your child grieve well and hopeful about a future filled with bright possibilities and even joy

The death of a child leaves a family devastated with unimaginable grief. Parents suffer "the worst loss," but they are not the only ones who grieve. Siblings grieve, too—even the very young.

Few people really think about what it's like for a child to live after their brother or sister dies. The young sibling's very identity is shattered, now a sister or brother left to grow up without the other. When my 6-year-old son died, my 3 1/2-year-old daughter said, "Mommy, half of me is gone." No longer having her brother beside her, she is a sibling by heart.

As a parent you are twice heartbroken, grieving not only for your child who died, but also for your living child. Life will never be as it was meant to be for the child who lives. Yet c
hildren are forgotten grievers, and the parents who love them are at a loss with no place to turn for help.

Do you wonder HOW you can possibly help to heal your grieving child's pain . . . or give your child a whole and happy life in spite of the irreconcilable loss?

Grief is in two parts. The first is loss.
The second is the remaking of life.

When a dream is stolen, the heart keeps an ember that cannot be extinguished. That ember can be stirred to flame, rekindling joy and realizing new possibilities.
You turned my mourning to dancing
and my sorrow to joy . . .
